The Forest Heritage
Centre’s Fine Wood Gallery is housed in a unique
architecturally designed rammed earth building set in tranquil
Jarrah forest in the historic timber town of Dwellingup. The Centre
also houses the Australian School of Fine Wood where visitors have a
unique opportunity to watch, admire and talk to the next generation
of designer/makers as they design and construct their own furniture
pieces it also runs a diverse programme of Creative Weekend
Workshops.
The
Forest Heritage Centre is also able to provide a
service for both commissioned items and referrals to selected
designer/makers so the client can have a special piece of furniture
constructed.
The Fine Wood
Gallery provides a diverse range of exquisite giftware
predominately crafted from Western Australian timbers and one-off
furniture pieces by Western Australian fine wood furniture makers.
This display is also complemented by artworks in other mediums.
